Word to Our Beta Users

Welcome to MemeBox! We'd like to thank you for taking the time to help us beta test the site, and hope to return the favor by developing a valuable resource that we can all use to explore, and more effectively simulate, the future. This is just the beginning of a long process and we greatly appreciate your support in growing our applications, community and knowledge base. Get ready for a fun and exciting ride!

Our first application, the Future Scanner,, essentially scans the web for the best future-focused content (predictions by experts, discoveries that will impact future events, product prototypes, industry forecasts, useful resources, etc.) and organizes it by future Year and Category. (Read the FS press release here on our press page.) When Community members locate these types of cool links, they tag them accordingly and submit them to site via their personal accounts. Other users then vote on the material they find most interesting or beneficial and the best content ends up being featured on the front page. Users are also encouraged to link together related scans and resources, so that it becomes easier to find more information on a given topic.

As you navigate through the Future Scanner during this early phase, we encourage you to spend some time voting up the links that appeal to you, carefully tag and title the links that you submit, and enter any related links and resources that you may be aware of. Your feedback is important so if you encounter any bugs or glitches, or have suggestions that would make the site work better for you, please let us know by posting comments in the MemeBox forums or by emailing marisa[at]memebox[dot]com. The more thought and time you put into it, the better the MemeBox for everyone!
