Steve Rubel at micropersuasion argues that 2008 will bring with it escalating conflict between new media companies and advertisers as the advertisers figure out they can also create/aggregate content with which to pair ads. Steve sums up, "The media's challenge is to figure out how to thrive in transition as their big advertisers recognize they can use the web to bypass them."
