The holy grail of Internet search is to be able to pick up your mobile phone, ask a question and get back a spoken answer.
Pursuing this prize are giant companies like Google and Microsoft, as well as smaller start-ups such as Hakia and Powerset, all trying to teach computers to understand the way people talk and think.
But beating them all could be an Indiana entrepreneur who plans to unveil a voice search product Tuesday at CTIA Wireless 2008, an industry conference in Las Vegas.
