While there is progression towards commercialization, this article states that government support would be needed until at least 2023, subsidizing the costs of vehicles as well as funding for hydrogen deployment, research, and continuing vehicle development. At least by 2015, we should have a significantly increased number of hydrogen vehicles on the road.
