If you don't have a bookmarks toolbar or link folder:If you can't find your Bookmarks Toolbar, go to View and make sure the Bookmarks Toolbar is enabled (Links Toolbar in IE). If it wasn't enabled and you enable it, it'll appear on the top of your browser, right below the URL field. Once it's enabled, simply drag the link into the toolbar (located directly below your browser's URL field). If you would like the submission form to open in the same window(or tab):Use this Scan It! link instead of the one above. Why should you use the Future Scanner Toolbar button and how does it work? The Scan It! Toolbar Button makes it easier to submit links to the Future Scanner as you browse the Internet. When you see an article or resource that pertains to the future, go to that article's permalink page, click your Scan It! toolbar icon and you'll be directed to the Submit Scan page with a few of the fields already filled in. The page title will be filled in as the headline, the url will be pre-filled, and if you had any page text highlighted it will be copied to the description. All you have to do is edit the description, set the category, year, and scan type, and add tags. If you would like to create a link to other stories on your site, scanned or not, see our Future Scanner Button page. |
