I am interested in the accelerating return associated with technological advance. Both in the rate that new tech is developed, but in the adoption rates my the general public.
The next big thing I see on the horizon is Lab-On-A-Chip. I can help fix many of the health problems Western culture has created. People will be in charge of their own health.
After that Fab-At-Home will be the next thing to break out. It has already started with macro 3d printers price dropping exponentially. As costs go down and resolutions and features increase molecular manufacturing is the only out come. It will be adopted by the public 100 times faster then cell phones were.
